A Pair of Blue and White Transfer Printed Sauce Tureens in the “Antiques” Pattern. The body and lid are decorated with cartouches showing ancient Greek buildings intersperse with cartouches of large Greek vases. The base has a similar border surrounding a center showing a chariot and charioteer and a flying horse. Circa 1820. The body measures 7″ across the handles and stands 5.75″ high. The base is 7″ long. The mark on the underside of the stand is a blue printed cartouche showing a large vase, the pattern name “ANTIQUES”, and the words “stone china”. There is no maker’s name. They are in nice condition. There is some rubbing to one of the handles but no other damage noted.
