A blue and white transfer printed platter from “Godwin’s Indian Scenery Series” showing the Tomb of Shere Shah. Made by T & B Godwin of Burslem, circa 1834. It measures 18.25″ long by 15.5″ wide. It has a makers mark in the form of a cartouche showing the name of the scene and the initials “T&B G”. There is a small blemish on the front of the platter (see pic), and two small chips near the edge on the rear.
