A set of six Spode green transfer printed plates showing ‘The lion the Bear and the Fox’ pattern from the Aesop’s Fables series, all in octagonal form with foliate borders. Circa 1830. They measure 8.5″ in diameter. Each has a Spode impressed mark and a cartouche with the pattern title. All are in good condition, no damage noted.
