A John Rose Coalport tea service, comprising boat shaped teapot, stand and cover, a sucrier and cover, milk jug and two teacups and saucers, each decorated in the imari palette, pattern 654. In 1815 the factory change from a hybrid hard paste to bone china. This set is bone china so it dates from between 1815 and 1820. Each piece has a written pattern number but shows no maker’s marks. The set is in fabulous condition, clean and bright with no sign of damage. A beautiful set.
