B915c An Early 19th Century English Teapot and Cover on Stand
Ref: B915c
Date: 1830
Quantity: 1
Dimensions:
Price: $350
A 19th century romantic teapot and cover on stand beautifully decorated with enamel floral decorations and abstract motifs and gilding. Circa 1830. A differently decorated teapot in the same form is shown in Robin Emmerson’s book “British Teapots and Tea Drinking”, plate 160, #513. It is from an unknown factory and has a flat lozenge shaped strainer. There is a pattern number on the bottom, 999. It is unusual because it stands on three large triangular feet. The stand is shaped to accommodate this. The teapot and stand are in great condition, nice and clean and bright and no damage whatsoever.
A beautiful piece.
