An Early 19th century Staffordshire desert service, printed in underglaze blue and overpainted in the Imari palette with chinoiserie rockwork and trees. It consists of three square dishes. each 8″ by 8″, an oval dish, 11 1/2″ long and ten plates each 9″ in diameter. There are no makers marks but some are inscribed 8421. Although there is a little crazing to the glaze, the set is in nice bright condition with no damage noted.
