A set of eight early Derby dinner plates, circa 1815, each decorated with a central display of flowers within a blue border decorated with gilt and three cartouches each again displaying a floral decoration. They measures 10.25″ in diameter. They show the red crown, cross swords and “D” mark mark on their underside. They are nice and bright, two plates have tiny chips to their back rims, which don’t detract. No other damage noted.
