An late Caughley early John Rose pair of plates in the finger and thumb pattern, circa 1800 – 1810. They measures 8.5″ in diameter. There is slight rubbing to the gilt edges, the rest of the gilding seems OK. One plate a has a tiny hairline on its edge, (see picture), but no other damage or crazing noted, There is no maker’s mark.
