n English 19th C dark brown glazed jug decorated with neoclassical images by the Staffordshire manufacturer, ” Hill Pottery Company”, circa 1861. It shows two scenes: “The Meeting of Hector and his wife Andromache”, and “Achilles” . On the base, as well as the names of the characters, it shows pattern number 2/1396 and a printed makers name, A C Hill. It stands 8.5″ high. A tiny bit of wear but in great condition.
