An English 19th C dark brown glazed ewer decorated with four named neoclassical figures. (One is Phaedra). Made by the Staffordshire manufacturer, ” Hill Pottery Company”. It stands 10.5″ high. There is a printed monogrammed mark, JSH, and a pattern number 7599 on the base. Circa 1861-7. There is a tiny bit of wear to the gilt on the lip, otherwise in good condition.
