A 19th century English majolica pitcher with a swivel metal lid. It has a blue ground bulbous body with white floral highlights and small gold panels, and a long neck with white ground panels decorated with branches and birds. Circa 1860. It stands 7″ high. On the base it has a written pattern number which is hard to read and also an impressed registration diamond but the date is indistinguishable. The lid has a metal button impressed ” Toft’s Patent”. The pitcher is in nice condition with no damage noted.
