Pair of 18th Century Faience Tin Glazed Earthenware Plates

Ref: D056
Date: 1737
Quantity: A pair
Dimensions: 9.75" diameter
Price: $525

A pair of 18th century faience tin glazed earthenware plates with pictures of locals on a yellow decorated background with a border of six yellow and blue panels, made at the Lille factory in France. Each has the title “D’Apres Teniers”. One plate shows the Lille factory mark on its reverse which includes the date of 1737. The other has a painted mark which I believe is that of Phillip-Auguste Petit, a Lille potter. They measure 9.75″ in diameter. The condition is excellent, one has a couple of small edge nibbles but nothing serious.

$525

Price is for the pair.
