Wedgwood Hibiscus pattern blue & white transfer printed platter of military interest Circa 1825. The top border shows a red printed oval panel for the 5th Battalion of the 60th (Royal American) Regiment, (the first rifle battalion in the regular British Army, formed in 1797). It shows the motto “honi soit qui mal y pence”. It measures 20.25″ long and 15.75″ wide. It has an impressed ‘WEDGWOOD’, mark. The front is in nice bright condition, There are three chips to underside of rim which cannot be seen from the front.
