A 19th century English blue and white transfer printed, octagonal covered tureen, lid and stand decorated with English cathedrals. Made by John and Thomas Carey, from their Cathedral series. Circa 1823 – 1842. It measures 13″ across handles and stands 10″ high. The base is 14.5″ at it’s widest. There is a crack in the lid but it still displays well. (The base itself is worth at least what we are charging for the whole tureen). No other damage.
