A large green transfer printed tree and well platter, decorated with a romantic scene within a floral border and titled “Priory”. Made in Staffordshire by Hick , Meigh and Johnson, circa 1825. It measures 20.5″ long and 17.25″ wide. On the rear is shows a cartouche with the pattern name and the maker’s initials. It has some wear and pitting to the rear. It has a small unobtrusive surface glaze crack on the front which does not go into the body otherwise it is in nice condition with no chips nor cracks
