A Copeland Camilla pattern brown transfer printed and clobbered platter. It has brown transfer printed borders that have inter spaced scroll work and floral reserves that are over painted in red, pink, brown and highlighted with gilt. The central floral motif is over painted with red, pink and brown with gilt highlights. Great example of clobbered transferware.
The platter measures 15.25″ long 12.5″ wide. It has an indistinct Copeland printed mark (1848 to 1867) and has a painted pattern number, 5469.
The platter is in good condition, no chips nor cracks and very little sign of usage.
