A Chamberlains of Worcester grey transfer printed soup tureen and lid, decorated with Indian scenes and flowers. Circa 1830. On it’s sides it a copy of an engraving by Capt. Robert Elliot, R.N. of “Akbar’s Tomb – Secundra” and a similar Indian view underneath the handles at each end. The lid is printed with flowers and the feet and handles have gilt detailing. It has a printed Chamberlain of Worcester mark to underside of the lid. It measures 13.25″ long, 10.25″ high and 10.25″ wide. It is in excellent condition. There is a half inch surface crack on one foot and there is a little roughness to the ladle hole in the lid, otherwise it looks “as new”.
