A large “Italian Ruins” pattern soup tureen lid and platter, each piece decorated with a pattern of buildings and landscapes, with a flowery border. Circa 1820. Each piece is marked with the words “Semi China on two lines within an 8 side frame of pseudo Chinese characters. There is no makers mark. The tureen measures 14″ long 10.5″ high. The stand is 17″ long 12.25” wide. There is an underside edge chip to the base otherwise all pieces are in good condition, nice and bright and clean with very little wear.
